To close this first week kind of dedicated to one of my gorgeous countries, Greece, I want to do it by showing you one of the most beautiful things you can do while in Athens. What is that? visiting the new Acropolis Museum, opened in 2009 after many years of talks and proposals. The Museum is located on an archaeological site, just below the Acropolis hill, on the path that in ancient times led to the Sacred Rock. The building is an incredible piece of design that revolves around three concepts: light, movement and a tectonic and programmatic element. Athens has not only incredible ancient history and beautiful pieces to show but also an incredible home to house these beauties in an incredible environment. Worth the visit!
The interior is as impressive architectonically and obviously even more impressive due to it's contents.
