Rococo Egg decorating with Achica

Easter is around the corner and the other day I had the chance to visit the lovely Rococo shop for an egg decorating class. The evening was organised by the lovely guys at Achica. (Do you know what Achica is? It's the leading members-only luxury lifestyle store - you have to check it out!)
The evening started with the lovely Julie from Rococo showing us how chocolate is created. More on Rococo Chocolates, their history and the beautiful stores they have next week, stay tuned!

Afterwards we headed downstairs to the store kitchen. A big marble table was waiting for us with lots of yummy toppings for us to decorate our two Easter eggs.

At the end we were delighted with a chocolate tasting. Yum! A massive thanks goes to the guys from both Achica and Rococo, it was a lovely evening!

Happy Easter loves, have a great holiday weekend!!

Hotel Predi Son Jaumell, Mallorca

Before I start moaning about the incredibly unseasonal London weather I thought a quick trip to a beautiful sun filled little heaven is long overdue. Join me for a virtual trip to this gorgeous rural hotel in Mallorca. The Hotel Son Jaumell is a refurbished old house in the middle of the mallorcan country side. I was smitten with the exterior in all honesty, it's incredibly soothing to the eye, incredibly Mediterranean  relaxing and wonderfully luxurious in a very understated way.

The interiors are just as curated. I love it doesn't look like your typical hotel but more like that old friend's home.

The Acropolis Museum

To close this first week kind of dedicated to one of my gorgeous countries, Greece, I want to do it by showing you one of the most beautiful things you can do while in Athens. What is that? visiting the new Acropolis Museum, opened in 2009 after many years of talks and proposals. The Museum is located on an archaeological site, just below the Acropolis hill, on the path that in ancient times led to the Sacred Rock. The building is an incredible piece of design that revolves around three concepts: light, movement and a tectonic and programmatic element. Athens has not only incredible ancient history and beautiful pieces to show but also an incredible home to house these beauties in an incredible environment. Worth the visit!

The interior is as impressive architectonically and obviously even more impressive due to it's contents.

Ideal Closet

And what best to wear to Greece than a gorgeous beach outfit? Greece is famed for it's incredible islands and clear blue waters. There is something for everyone. Big islands with many different beaches  and beautiful historic cities, like Corfu or Rhodes, smaller, white washed, islands like any beauty in the Cyclades, or incredibly green islands with long sand beaches that will make you want to lay down and never go back to reality. What you need now is to start planning your Greek summer holiday. Go go go!

Countess Wilhelmina

Today another little Greek gem I have been admiring for a long time. The beautiful Countess Wilhelmina jewellery collection is the creation of Christina P. Mallaki, a Parsons graduate with Greek roots. The name was inspired by a Swedish countess who collected 67, 000 art treasure during her lifetime.Countess Wilhelmina makes all kind of jewellery but I chose to highlight her cute and colourful necklaces from her The KoolFly Effect collection? Why, this candy coloured pieces make me happy and that's more than enough to get my vote!

You can but the Countess Wilhelmina collection here or checking her Facebook page

Madame Shou Shou, Made in Greece

This week I'm going to try and dedicated to all things Greece, I'm going to try and highlight things, people, beauties from this incredible country that is suffering and trying to recover.
This is a long overdue post, I came across these tiny super cute bikinis last summer, the little bow on the back enamoured me. I did a bit of research and came across the brand, Madame Shou Shou, the brainchild of young Greek designer Elina Kordali. The brand was an instant hit in Greece and I know a lot of people are waiting patiently (or not so much) for the new collection to hit the stores at the end of March. Below is the photo shoot from last year's collection, imagine how good the new one is going to be?

Elina Kordali studied in Milan and Barcelona and creates beautiful clothes and swimwear, very romantic but playful at the same time. Very mediterranean and very stylish. You can find more about all the new (and old) stuff on the Madame Shou Shou Facebook page, have a look and you can thank me later. I know what bikini I will be wearing this year!

Things I loved these last days

I spent most of the weekend indoors sorting out stuff I love but don't use/wear anymore, stuff that someone else might enjoy. An uneventful weekend but a relaxing one which is always welcome especially in this London weather.
I also realised that if I dont' post an outfit post on Mondays it makes sense to post things that I found, read and loved around the WWW during the weekend. Makes more sense than doing it on Fridays, at least to me, as during the week I don't have that much time to browse the pretty Internet as much as I would like.
These 2 looks are very different, but have something in common: beautiful classic elegance. The maternity look is just perfect, sometimes moms to be struggle to find the balance between comfort and beauty, I think this kind of outfit balances it perfectly.
Anna of See Jane fame always looks polishes and immaculate. a bit like the perfect american next door girl, but incredibly stylish.

I learned hot to create Chalkboard art on Picmonkey and I like it, it's super easy! Check out the tutorial at House of Hawthornes.

Girl crush alert (again!). I know this is a bit of an older photo (2011) but  Jennifer Lawrence looks incredible here. A real beauty with a real body.

Did you have a chance to have a look at the photos of the Afternoon tea I organised at home some time ago? It was featured at the Laura Ashley blog. Some ladies at the LA Facebook page pointed that my cake was burnt and the edges had been cut off. It made me laugh cause it was indeed true, I'm no baker, and made me wonder: do some people have so much free time in their hands?
Anyhow, it was an honour working with Laura Ashley on this!

Ideal Closet

I first saw this dress on a blog (cant remember where sorry) and I thought Topshop only had the maternity version, I considered buying it cause I really liked the combo of two denim tones and the short sleeves. It could easily be THE dress of the summer, easy with a pair of flats, comfy with a pair of sneakers and you could even dress it up if needed. Isn't this necklace the prettier bobbles ever? I love that it looks like coral.

Shop: Mimoki

If I'm ever in Madrid I want to visits one shop no matter what. That shop is Mimoki. At Mimoki they make hats, fascinators and head pieces for events. I have been looking for a while for a hat I'm going to wear at a wedding and Mimoki has without a doubt the most gorgeous handmade pieces. Incredibly elegant and very very original. They also carry gorgeous clothes to create the whole event look. Their recently had their shop photographed by Natalia Apezetxea, it has a gorgeous industrial feeling that matches beautifully with all the colour and beauty of their pieces.
