The new lamp

I mentioned it a couple of weeks ago that Argos kindly offered to get me some of their lovely stuff to spruce up my little home. One of the things I have been wanting to replace forever and ever was the living room lamp; I liked it but I had enough of it, you know the feeling? So when the opportunity came I knew I wanted something simple yet elegant and a bit modern. Argos now carries some of Habitat's stuff, including our new floor lamp. The legs are metallic black and seat perfectly in between of our 2 sofas. The Habitat shade made of luxurious silk and adds the perfect colour contrast. I think I'm in LOVE. PS: Our velvet cushions are also from Argos. I LOVE velvet!!

Have a great weekend lovelies!

Ideal Closet

On Boxing Day next week we are off  to Vienna so this might very well be the very last Ideal Closet of the year. And it's a superb one, I know it's ugly to say it oneself but sleepwear and loungewear has to be the very best of all! I was going to create a party outfit, to celebrate the Holiday season but then I realised that the Holiday period is the time to wind down and relax, enjoy nights in with loved ones with a hot cocoa and a good film, or the Dowtown Abbey Xmas special (cant wait!). So go ahead, get your best pj's, make your best cocoa and enjoy the evening!

Wedding Wednesday: The quest is over

And the quest for the dress is now over! Oh I didn't expect to say it out loud so relatively soon but there it goes; On Saturday I called the jenny Packham store and placed my order and let me tell you while it is extremely exciting pacing that amount of money on an order is also very very intimidating! But I couldn't be happier, my dress is THE dress I saw back when I first started thinking about our wedding, waaaay before actually deciding to get married and way before anything was even planned or set. While I did try on other dresses I kept thinking back of THAT one and you know what they say, the ONE stays with you, right? I don't have any close friend who has been married so I don't know exactly how others found their dress, what their emotions were, and how they felt after when they found it and bought it. Me I felt like screaming, OMG I'm really getting married! Please do share, I would love to hear your experiences.
{Some of the incredibly gorgeous brides who also wore a Jenny Packham dress (not mine though!) pretties?}

Samantha Wills at home

A couple of weeks ago I showed some lovely jewellery by Samantha Wills. Since discovering I have been following the brand on Facebook, I love it's aesthetic and vibe. The other way Samantha shared her home on Australian blog Life Styled and I had to share. Firstly because Samantha Wills is incredibly gorgeous, and secondly because her home is just like her collections, equal doses of bohemian, luxe, and rock n' roll. SO without further ado here is the Sydney home of Samantha Wills

Sunday Outfit

Hello lovelies! How has your weekend been? We here decorated our tree, had dinner at our friends house and did a bit of Christmas shopping in central London. I have decided that as much as possible i will avoid shopping in central from now on, manic and I realised I'm an online girl so no reason to battle the crowds, what do you think? Do you prefer the  comfort of your home when it comes to shopping or there is nothing better that a proper shopping session?

Apriati comes online

If you follow me for a while you have probably read a couple of post about Apriati and have seen me wearing pieces of theirs. The greek jewellers have grown from a little store in the center of Athens to several shops in Greece, Paris and Zurich. My problem however was that I don't travel to Athens as often as I would like to get their pieces, especially their bracelets so I have been waiting and waiting for their online shop and it seems it is coming very very soon from what their lovely PR told me. So ladies (and gents, N wears his bracelets proudly!) get ready to grab one or two of these gorgeous beauties, and don't forget their statement piece, the 7 cords bracelet can be customised just as you would in any of their stores. CANT wait! Their good luck charm bracelets for the new year are super cute!

It seems this is the winter of the animal sweater, little foxes are getting all over our closets. This little number from Aubin & Wills with its super cute shoulder buttons is the perfect choice if you want to add a little animal love into your outfit, pair it with than accessories and you have a super classy, elegant and a bit edgy outfit for the office or for a day out and about.

Wedding Wednesdays: Inspiration, look

When people ask me how is the wedding coming along, I tell them how we have booked pretty much everything, venue, church, music, catering. People are surprised but I always knew what I wanted and being Corfu a small place it was pretty easy to decide what we wanted. Our venue is in the Corfu Town and is a municipal garden, it has gorgeous views and lovely trees and small paths. A friend told me it would be fairy tale like and since then that's my motto and goal, to create a fairy tale ambience with lots of warm dimmed candles around the paths and hanging from the trees to create a magical affair

A cool Victorian house

While looking for dining room inspiration in Pinterest the other day I came across this room and I felt immediately drawn to it, it's right up my alley. I clicked on the picture and didn't lead me anywhere, oh Pinterest! Thank to Google and there it was, the original source, a house tour on Houzz by photgrapher Jennifer Young. You might have seen it already but I had not and I thought  it was worth showing it just in case you haven't, its that cool and pretty! It's the home on a young couple and what they did with this late-1800's rental home is really lovely. Lots of colours and textures, lovely DIYs, lots of natural light and a lovely little patio are real winners is my book. Look at that sofa ladies and gents, amazing? and that apple casserole? It was on sale for next to nothing, those who got it where lucky lucky!

Sunday Outfit

After blogging about the New Balance kicks on an Ideal Closet post some time ago I decided I had to get a pair for myself and I couldn't be happier. They are the perfect Sunday shoes and if I'm honest I might even wear them to work. While I was never a trainers girl I think this has changed with these ones. I hear that the Vogue editors wear them too so why not? What about you? Are you a trainers fal at all?

Big thanks goes to my beloved mom who spend the weekend with me and took these pictures. I loved having her here and will miss her!

New things around the kitchen

Space in London is definitely limited, most flats are not big enough and kitchens lack space to work and storage. I can't complaint about our flat, it's big enough and we make do nicely however our kitchen always felt very, how to say it, limited is a good work. Enter the lovely people at Argos who kindly agreed to help ad some new things around here, and now we have a fantastic kitchen trolley that gives us tons of space. We used it to store dishes, casseroles and some of our most used gadgets, like this Tefal food slicer, also from Argos, we wanted something to grate the parmesan cheese and this does a marvellous job. We decided to leave the doors of the trolley out and I like the result, what do you think?

and the yummy bday cake from a different day!
