Ideal Closet

It so should be white jeans season, I'm tired of coming here every Thursday and telling you about the awful weather we are suffering right now, I'm sure you are tired of hearing whine, yes yes I know. Anyhow, so NO it's still not really time to wear white jeans but in my dream closet it is and here is how I would wear it. A good denim shirt does wonders and a pair of Bensimon plimsoles (Sarenza has a pretty large selection - lots of nice colours) in a bright colour would make this the perfect sunny day outfit.
I also love this shirt, love the collar and this one (perfect lighter shade). This sleeveless polka dot little one is also cute.

Not your average espadrilles

In Barcelona kids grow up wearing espadrilles, I remember there was a time they were not a fashion statement, they were just espadrilles and the average price was what? 10 euros max? Then Toms came and upped the price quite a bit, but they are a bit different than your average espadrille and there is teh charitable factor on them, so ok ok. And then, hello hello, here come the ones and only Chanel espadrilles, sold out EVERYWHERE (apparently, obviously I haven't checked!) and extremely expensive.
They seem to be everywhere, especially in blogland (have you seen this blog, Shit bloggers Wear? Pretty illustrations!)

Going back to the Chanel espadrilles, I first saw them on a very young mom in Barcelona, she looked good, oh yes, and I thought, oh pretty shoes! Then I started seeing them all over, so here they are here too. Would I pay for them? Hell no! But I still like them... a bit! Lots of candy colours and they also come in leather. What do you think about such trend? Would you pay that much money for a pair of espadrilles? They photograph well, I know I mean look at these cool pics below, but really, would you?

If you are like me and don't fancy spending that much on a pair of espadrilles here are some good alternatives

Sunday Outfit

And finally a proper Sunday outfit, boyfriend jeans, relaxed tee and flip flop. The weather has showed us it's best face this long weekend and while I didn't go out all crazy I did my best to enjoy it a little bit. I had brunch in a gorgeous little spot (The Tabernacle in Notting Hill, yum!) with
three gorge ladies (hi Lauren, Amber and Tyler's mom!) and a little bundle of joy (oh how pretty is Princess Viola!). I finally went back to the cinema and watched The Great Gatsby, I liked it, I don't favour 3D that's it but the movie was cool and I liked the story (yep, I haven't read the book!). If you are in London and are looking for a nice little cinema, then Barbican 2 and 3 can make you happy, comfy leather seats, good sized rooms and not your multi cinema type of experience (I love multi-cinemas don't take me wrong, this is just a bit different). Have a lovely week friends!!

Ideal Closet

This Zara shirt dress is a closet basic, one that will take you from day to evening in a heartbeat. I would team it with a pair of lovely sandals (can the summer come any time soon please?), a beautiful leather bag (if it's quilted it's even better!) and these incredibly gorgeous earrings that go incredibly well with this pink lipstick. Ready to rock it? I know I am!

An Ikea tiny kitchen: How to

I love the Ikea store settings and catalogues. I love the way they put it together, the way they style it, always very smartly done to highlight their best assets.
On their website at the moment they have this little video about how to create a tiny very well prepared kitchen and I love it (I can't find it anymore which is really annoying!). The best bit for me in this tiny bright kitchen is the upwards storage and all the openesss and lightness it exudes.

Pin it Forward UK

My theory has been that if Pinterest existed when I first started blogging, I wouldn't have even thought about blogging in the first place. Pinterest is officially launching in the UK which technically means that Pinterest will be more Brit focus and Brit friendly. Not long ago I met some of the Pinterest ladies in London and firstly they are amazing, secondly it was super fab learning more about their expansion plans and realising how interested they are in the Pinterest community (us!) our needs, wishes and how they can make it all better for us. I'm a social media lover, like most bloggers and Pinterest has got to be my fave platform.

Why I hear? It is where I go to be inspired. It is where I go when I want to find what to eat when I have people coming over for dinner, where I go to find that perfect office chair, where I go to find that gorgeous bedroom I once saw on that blog, it is where I go to find meaningful quotes when I feel a bit low.

I have been an avid pinners since it first Beta launched back when and I never looked back. Ben Silbermann's keynote speech at the Alt summit is an incredible inspiring talk, he started small and make it happen with a vision and effort, and there is no way you can't appreciate it.
I have noticed I have many boards, I like cataloguing and like many of you used to pin in real boards. One of my favorite boards is the one where I save all the gorgeous homes of my fellow bloggers, I love the idea of saving all their amazing home interior ideas in one specific board and being able to easily reach to them when I need them.

This month 300 UK pinners will be sharing why and how they pin in a campaign called Pin it Forward UK, Will kicked it off here with an as always very inspiring post and tomorrow my lovely friend Lauren will be telling us why she pins, I know many of you love Lauren (have you seen her boards? I loved her Angleterre board one so much I actually made on of my own!). Tomorrow Michelle from The Taxonomy of my Wardrobe will also be posting about her love of Pinterest, make sure you check it out, her Pinterest boards have a unique flair.

DO share, how do you use Pinterest? and what is your favorite board and pinner to follow? I would love to follow some more people, tell tell!

Perfect outfits for little girls

Happy Monday loves! Tomorrow my gorgeous little Goddaughter turns 7, I can't believe time has gone so fast, I still can remember as if it was yesterday the day she was born. It really seems like it hasn't been a day, but it has and she now is a little lady. While Marianna will be happy with anything Monster High related, any of these gorgeous Boden little outfits would suit her incredibly well. They are a bit boho, a bit funky and always just as elegant as a little kid should be.

Ideal Closet

OH I CAN'T wait for some proper sun season! I can't wait to wear bright colours, fun and fabulous sandals and funky jewels! I'm a big fan of scarf in the summer, I love wearing them around my hair, they protect it from the sun and add a nice touch to any outfit. From the beach to the bar colourful scarfs are the perfect summer accessory!

Lea Michele's re-style

I love Domain, the new(ish?) shopping/decor website/magazine launched by the people behind WhoWhatWear.com (it had to be good right?). Their own description reads: "the site is a resource for aesthetic-minded creative intelligent design lovers looking for home decor inspiration and ideas". I first came across it when I saw this feature on Lea Michele's home re-do. I saved it for a while on Pinterest and here it is now. The Domaine team re-styled the actresses bungalow in West Hollywood and look how gorgeous it looks. All the sources and details can be found here. What do you think about Domaine?

Put a flower crown on

I'm going to a morning wedding in June in Barcelona and failed to find a suitable hat for it. At some point it came to my mind that I had THAT floral necklace from Anthro that I had never worn. I could somehow use it on my hair, it is not red or flower coloured but could work well and that's what I will do! I love the trend there is at the moment of wearing floral crowns, my friend Colleen wears it like no one here at her holiday in Turkey (doesn't she look amazing?)

There are lots up for sale, like the gorgeous ones created by Rouge Pony out of London. Or you can also make your own, there are lots of DIY projects, I especially like this one from Green Wedding Shoes and the one by Bluebird.

Sunday Outfit

My mom took these pics last weekend while walking around Barcelona, while we didn't plan it as a Sunday Outfit as per se it works well an wanted to share with you. Since then I have cut my hair, so technically I don't look like this anymore! Yes, I'm well aware you can see my bra straps and I know many of you won't approve, but with this shirt I like it, it gives the whole look a bit of an edge. I'm also wearing my tiny Michael Kors cross body bag which I got at Sarenza. I wear it whenever I don't have to carry all my stuff, usually weekends and other outings and has become a real favourite!

Barcelona's many faces

While in Barcelona these days I took some pics of pretty facades. Architects and art lovers love this city, because of its beautiful architecture and history. And no wonder. I'm back to reality today, flying to London later today to face what my future awaits, I can't say I'm excited but life doesn't always goes as planned and we still need to deal with it! Lemons and lemonade right?

Florence at home

I love lots of the Vogue fetaures I find lately, this on on Florence Welch´s home was no exception. The home of the artist is just as qirky and beautiful as you would expect from such blossoming personality. While not all of it is my personal cup of tea, I love the rustic kitchen and all the beautiful and eclectic mix of patterns, textures and ambients. A lovely display of eclectic done right! Plusm who wouldnt like a walking closet/ boudoir like hers?
