Wedding Wednesday: in Madrid

There were two main reason why I wanted to share this wedding with you. This couple emanates simplicity, love and and an incredibly complicity, the way they look at each other is just magical. The other reason is the whole ambience, this Madrid wedding was organised by A Tipica and is pure sophistication. Demure and dim lighting, gorgeous candle light and stunning white flowers with a perfect table setting. I really really like it. The wedding dress is also unique and very pretty. Photography is by Hugo de la Morena who managed to capture these little moments of true complicity I really like.

An Ikea Hack

Do you follow me on Pinterest? If you do, you have probably seen that I created an Ikea Rast hack board. There are some amazing versions of this very versatile Ikea little dresser. I loved the original hack created by Lindsay when I first say it long time ago but never thought I could tackle a DIY to be honest. I live in a flat in London with limited outside space, I have never painted anything, nor sanded, or done anything related. Fast forward a couple of years and last month I saw Rachel's nightstand and I dropped her an email to see how difficult it was, she was really sweet and encouraged me to go for it, and for that I thank her because now I am the proud (oh yes, pat in the back for this newbie!) owner of 2 lovely new nightstands. N and I are delighted!

I mainly followed these directions. I won't lie, it's not perfect, the painting mainly but I love it and it does look great unless you inspect it very closely so all good!

Sunday Outfit

Happy Monday lovelies! How have you been? The weather has gifted us with a beautiful weekend and London is just stunning when it's sunny! How was your weekend? Did you watch the Oscars last night? I didn't, with the time difference it's pretty difficult, but can't wait to read all about it and see the lovely frocks!
Besides enjoying the lovely weather, I finally got to finish the nighstands DIY project I told you a couple of weeks ago. Finally, it took a while, but it was so worth it! I'll show you tomorrow!

Sandra Semburg photographs Marlene Soerensen

The other day on Pinterest I saw this lovely picture of a tomato red/white dress hanging on a lovely dresser. I clicked and got around to Sandra Semburg's blog A Love is Blind. This beautiful apartment belongs to Marlene Semburg is a freelance journalist and blogger at Spruced and I love it. The art wall is lovely, I love the combination of different frames,  and the mix personal pictures and prints. The floor is exquisite, not too dark not too light, the perfect wooden color and the chair where Marlene seats on the last picture is exactly what I would love to have if my bedroom what a bit bigger.

A Love is Blind is a pretty fab blog too, with beautiful photography, check it out! There's some cool street style photos from all the major Fashion weeks, swoon, really cool!
Have a great weekend lovelies!!

Wedding Wednesday: Welcome totes

No matter where I get married one day, it will probably be far far away for many of family and friends and t thank them for their effort a welcome bag should be in place. I love all of these today, and find them very ingenious and thoughtful. The bags should be filled with local goodies if possible, things that your guests will enjoy, something to munch, something useful (a map? I love the suntan idea too!), something to remember you!

Bonbon Balloons

Most good party stuff comes from the States but not these beauties! These super fun, colourful balloons are made in North London and I'm in love. They are appropriately called Bonbon Balloons and all come with beautiful hand crafted strings. They pop out of their box and off you go with your balloon, I'm sorry but how incredibly cute is it? I have a big birthday coming up soon and would love to celebrate with one of these!

Sunday Outfit

Hello lovelies, how are you? I know some of you are enjoying a long 3 days weekend, lucky you! I had a little quiet weekend, we cooked, I made these lovely tarts (mine crumbled but they were still yummy!) and I started tackling my Ikea Rast hack, not sure how it will turn out but hey I had to give it a go! I'll show you the results when it's all done. Yesterday, I wore my clown trousers as N calls them and I love them! I was so glad Topshop reissued them after selling out their green winter version.

Royal Coconut: A cooking blog

All this real pretty and seemingly incredibly yummy pics come from a really cool cooking blog. Royal Coconut. N's mom introduced me to it and I have to say I really love it. It's all in Greek, I know most of you won't understand it but those of you who do, go ahead and take a look. Not only the pictures are outstanding but the recipes are also well structured, easy to follow and very original. I can't wait to make the caramelised tomato tart, oh my oh my!

On a different note, the lovely Emily from Emily A. Clark invited me to be part of her new "Send me A Picture" series. This time she asked some of us to share our night stands. I'm honoured to have been asked and to be amongst some other really fab ladies (some I didn't know and have added to my reader). Thanks Emily!!

Have a great weekend lovelies!

Ideal Closet

What to wear when you have to be dressy but not too much? A silk dress with character and lovely details. I'm not going to lie, this ideal closet is right up my alley, and I'm really considering getting this lovely DvF dress (in sale! OK I would buy pretty much EVERYTHING I blog about but this dress has me at hello!), The color is oh so fun and perfect for transitioning into spring and the front ruffles add the perfect flirt element. Would love to pair it with fab glitzy crystal heeled sandals!

Wedding Wednesday: Intimate

What caught my eye in this wedding is the table setting. Intimate, square, joyful, different. The bride's dress also helped of course, what an amazing back! But let's go back to the table. twenty four guest all sat together in a big square table where they can see each other and converse, under dim light and 3 marvellous chandeliers. Don't know what you think, but this is just beautiful. Most perfect little intimate celebration. I'm a convert!

Hanna's Home

This is the very lovely home of Swedish beauty Hanna (who blogs at Hanna's Room). I didn't know her blog but now I will be visiting often. Her home is just as creative, pretty and very Swedish, just like her. Check it out, don't you love it? I love the contrast between dark wood floors and lots of natural light, colorful accessories and lovely details. The period features, like the fireplace mix up perfectly with modern elements and tastefully chosen interiors. A new fave!
