A cool nursery

I came across this super cool nursery while researching a completely different post and oh boy so happy I did! This is Erin´s boy nursery and playroom. Erin is one half of Design Crisis, a spot-on interiors blog, Karly is the other half, and they both have wonderful homes. I love what Erin did in this room. The grey wall colour is so daring, but works really well, don't you think? I love all the fun art and the hot balloon lighting, a vintage find that Erin spray painted. But now let me be honest, what caught my eye was this fantastic vintage Persian rug. I L-O-V-E! Persian rugs make my heart go absolutely crazy. Must be the colours.

  1. Gorgeous nursery. Boy friendly and something that is perfect for him as he's growing up not just those baby years.

  3. This is incredible! We have a rug similar to this in our living room that I "married in to" (reluctantly). These photos make me appreciate our living room rug a little more.

Also, I love how this nursery looks modern, but also traditional. Very interesting! Thanks for sharing!! : )

  5. The mounted stuffed giraffe head freaks me out a bit, but I love the rest! Especially the chandelier.

  6. So unique. The shapes of the rocker and light fixutre, balance out the more linear touches so well.

  20. I love the Persian rug, what a wonderful way to open up the room, along with that chandelier fit for a boy! And how adorable is the cozy tiny bear head mounted over the crib, so sweet for a little man. Love it!

  21. I'm tempted to adopt a child just to have that room. Any baby who grows up there is sure to be an old soul--especially with the taupe walls (very Chanel particulaire) and oriental carpet. A room to grow into, for sure.

    Have a great week!
