Lately I have been looking to add a console to seat behind our sofa. I would love some extra storage and I think it would look nice in the overall living room look. And in this search I have been drawn towards a mid century look. Clean lines, structured oak, plenty of space and sophisticated look. A real winner. The rocker chair is also in my dream list. Yours too?

So charming!
ReplyDeleteThis is my FAVORITE look. Thank you for all the inspiration! xoxo

all lovely finds. i must say that i have some super sad news though.... that UO rocker we both loved from my post the other day? it's no longer! i went back with the intent of buying it and was absolutely heartbroken to find that it was no longer on the site. i think i maybe died a little inside. seriously. that chair was perfect!
ReplyDeletehope you find yourself the perfect console table!

Love the 4th and 5th pictures. The orange flowers on that dark colour is fab and I adore the exposed brickwork xxx
ReplyDeleteI love photo #4 too! Hope you find your dream pieces!! xo
ReplyDeleteThe console is clean and elegant with a sort of art deco vibe, don't you think?
ReplyDeleteBut I've got to disagree on the rocking chair. For me, I won't have chairs in the house if the arms aren't upholstered and comfortable. Yes, the rocking chair looks fabulous. But leaning up against the arm could be painful.
Adore this style!
ReplyDeleteI want that woven ottoman to add some nice texture, Helena!

So into Mid Cent right now - love all of these, hun! xo
ReplyDeleteThe wide rocker would be a really fun addition to any home. I want!
ReplyDeleteHave a fabulous day love!
I just added a whole shelving unit to my living room for extra storage too! Mid Century modern design is great- I especially love it when its reupholstered in really fun more current fabrics!
ReplyDeleteI love retro pieces in modern spaces! Great pics!
ReplyDeleteYes! I love the rocker as well! I also really like the fourth picture, but the fact that the blank canvas isn't centered is driving me NUTS. Normally I'm all for asymmetry, but it's SOCLOSE to being symmetrical that the slight shift is just...ugh....anxiety! haha
ReplyDeleteblack canvas. black, not blank.
ReplyDeleteLovely examples...I also adore a console behind a sofa.
ReplyDeleteMy parents had a house filled with this stuff once upon a time. If only......
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend lovely. xx
