Camille Goutal's home in Ile de Re

In line of this morning's post I wanted to share how I came to discover Ile de Re and write about it. It was thru Camille Goutal's beautiful holiday home in the little island. Camille is the daughter of the late Annick Goutal, the famous parfumeur. She spent her summer holidays with her mom in Ile de Re, is a small converted shed and with the years Camille bought a property near by and converted it to this beautiful, easy going and incredibly comfortable family home. What a great place to spend the holidays!
The decor is a combination of antiques and, yes Ikea.

  11. How beautiful!

I really enjoy the mix of the two -- and am still shocked! Ikea? Well, she has certainly put her twist on it, and made the look completely her own. Thank you so much for featuring this great place -- you always have the most amazing finds :)

  14. One of my closest friends in Paris has had a family vacation house on Ile de Re forever. Staying there was one of my favorite trips in France. The island could not be more charming. It's ridiculous. :)
