"We are making italiano...desert"

Yummy yummy vanilla panacotta was on the menu yesterday. Easiest ever italian desert, extremely tasty and filling, and I haven't met practically no-one who doesn't enjoy a good italian desert. As I said very very basic recipe and a great and easy way to impress.

Here is how:
- 1 sachet of gelatine
- 600ml Double cream
- 4 tbs caster sugar
- vanilla pod or 1 tsp of vanilla essence
- Strawberries and sugar for the coulis

In a heatproof bowl soak the gelatinein cold water (4-5 tbp) for at least 4-5 minutes. Place the cream with the sugar in aPublish Post heavy bottom pan and simmer until the sugar disolves, remove from heat. Put the gelatine mix au bain-marie, shaking eventually the top pan until the geltine is smooth. Pur the geltine mix in the cream and mix well, make sure that there are not big chunks of gelatine (not very nice when cold). Pur the mix into individual ramekins and let it cool. Cool and then chill in the refrigerator for 2-3 hours until set, I usually leave it overnight for best results to be honest. Its a good idea to cover the ramekins with clearfilm. To serve, dip the moulds one at a time into hot water for 5 seconds, then turn out onto plates. Spoon over the coulis and decorate with fresh raspberries or strawberries. The coulis is even easier to make, just mix some strawberries with a couple of tsp of sugar in the blender and ready!
It takes less than 15 minutes to make and you have an absolutely delicious italian desert.
Can't wait to make some Hummingbird Bakery inspired cupcakes, devilish but delicious little treats! I might use this beautiful recipe and see how it turns up.

Cards and more cards!

Some days ago, while online "window shopping" I stomped across a very interesting blog of a very talented english girl, PaperLeaf Studio, from there I ended up at Etsy and bought some delicious handmade cards, with bright gocco prints. I cant wait to open the letter box and find a beautiful envelope with the cards and gift tags in it, supposedly they come wrapped in an gocco print envelope too!
From here my quest for the most beautiful stationery started and I have been looking all over the net for beautiful cards and mainly beautiful wedding stationery, as in my opinion it's where you can get the most creative results. Ceci New York is my all-time classic favorite, from what I remember, I discovered it while still in Barcelona in one of my crazy wedding obsessions (wedding as events not necessarily as marriage of course), since then these obsessions come and go but Ceci is always top of my list. They have recently launched a ready to order collection based on their amazing most in demand designs from their bespoke collection. I absolutely love the Ginger design from the destination collection, bright colors and intricate patterns. And for a New York wedding what best than a special invitation suit from one of their designs? No matter what though, and if you can really stretch your budget the best option they have is their couture collection, where the couple can have a bespoke invitation that suits their taste, style and dreams.
Their work is absolutely personalized and suited to your needs, you brief them and they create MAGIC! I fell in love with the black and red idea of the Maya & Alexander invite and the absolutely glamorous Matryoshka inspired design. I could go on and on as each piece is amazingly stunning and adorable.

Update: Got my georgeous card from kate last week! so beautiful I dont even want to use them!

Loving Shu Uemura & Moyoco Anno

I have always, well not exactly ALWAYS, but since a very long time, loved loved loved Shu Uemura cleaning oils, after trekking the markets for the perfect cleanser, make up (and mascara!) remover this was a little treasure found! I'v always coveted those beautiful bottles with pretty designs but never got around to get one... until yesterday when in the shop (with little Kokeshi Dolls splattered around, more about that later) I couldnt manage to resist the big bottle with the beautiful Moyoco Anno drawings... So I did a bit of research. Moyoco Anno writes about fashion and draws japanese manga (which to be fair im not much into it, so dont have much knowledge) BUT these Shu Uemura Bottles are exquisite! Just little beauties that I wish I could afford (or need) to have them all.
While researching I found some of her work, so fashionable and feminine. Very different from all the manga I remember of my early days! Back to Shu, this is a playful collection, no difference to the perfect product just an amazingly new packaging that inspires and perfectly works with Shu Uemura perfection.
